Hi all, I’m trying to decide between two prebuilt budget gaming pc’s. Price isn’t a issue for me as they are both prebuilt and cost around the same, so I just want to know performance wise, would the AMD Ryzen 3 1300X with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics be better or the Ryzen 5 1400 with GeForce GTX 1050 Ti be better and when would one be better than the other, because at least spec wise I am aware both CPU’s are the same excpet the 3 1300X has a higher clock speed but the 5 1400 has more threads so which is better in what situations? (assuming everything else was the same). Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, while gaming I will most likely also be Skyping or Discording, would that make any major difference?

Something like streaming your game on Twitch would benefit from the 1400, otherwise you want the 1300x. Either one will pair nicely with a 1060 so at 1080p 60hz you won't notice that much of a difference if you're just gaming.

A mod just answered a question I had that was similar to think, and he said you could honestly save money and buy the Ryzen 1200 and oc it. But idk if budget is a priority for you.

But between the two, and basing it off of the answer I got, I'd say Ryzen 3 then just oc it.

i disagree i would just go with a 1400 and oc maybe. I feel that a 1300x will just bring you if u want the extra cores.
