Specs:
Mobo: Asus prime a320m-cr2.0
GPU: Zotac gtx 970 2 fan edition
CPU: AMD ryzen 1600
RAM: 2x8gb 3200mhz DDR4
Storage: kingston 120gb ssd (boot drive) and 2tb 7200rpm
PSU: 750watt 80+gold

Seems like this issue seems specific to myself. I see other threads that have two 8 pin vga connectors into their gpu, yet I have two 6 pin connectors, but I only have one 6 pin into my gpu.

People have said to RMA the gpu because it's faulty, but I am upgrading my cpu from my past build, so I know my gpu works.
In my old build I did not need to use two 6 pin vga connectors, only one. My question is, what do I do? Should I buy another 6 pin vga connector? Is my gpu fried indefinitely? I hope its not fried cus I can definitely not afford to buy another gpu...

Is this your card?

If so, then it clearly requires two 6 pin connectors. It won't work until you plug two of them in.

If the gpu has 2 6-pin connectors both need to be plugged in, not sure how you got away with only one as it shouldn't have worked like that.
Any decent 750w psu should have more than enough pci-e power connectors for a single 970. Do not buy a Molex or sata adapter, those are a bad idea.
