I just recently upgraded my computer. I changed the CPU, Motherboard, and RAM. I got it installed and I played a game for about 5 minutes till it froze, I try it again, but it keeps freezing even when I'm just on the internet. Do my new parts not work with the old ones, or did I do something wrong in the setup?

Solution

I would be far more suspicious of WUFUC than Steam or Origin. The only way to see what was causing the issues is to add them back one at a time until the problem comes back. Then remove the last one.
Did you re-install or just drop the old install disk in the new system?
This often goes sideways. If this is what you did, then backup your data and format your HD and re-install your OS.

If this is not what you did, then check your temps. Load HWinfo or HWmonitor and check what your CPU temps are.
If they are ok.

Try uninstall and re-installing the apps which are freezing.

I tried clearing my hard drive and reinstalling windows. It worked for a while, but the problem started again a few days later.

Is there any way to figure out which app is causing it? I restarted my PC and only installed steam, I haven't had any problems, but how do I figure out which app it was when the only things I installed were gaming platforms like Origin and Steam. I downloaded something called WUFUC that get rid of an unsupported hardware error for Ryzen, any chance that was the problem?
