Hello, so I'm attempting to get a Thunderbolt 3 add-in card by Asus to work on my AsRock Z97 motherboard. I've seen post of where people where able to get it working on the Asus boards that support Thunderbolt and so I've attempted to try it on mine and so far I've had no luck.

I have it installed on the PCIE4 slot which is wired to the CPU and is a 3.0 slot. I also have the thunderbolt cable attached to it too from the add-in card to the motherboard. I got the Display Port cable from the GPU to the add-in card. I went to Asus's website and downloaded the latest drivers for it. Aand lastly I've also went into my BIOS and enabled Thunderbolt in there. Now I'm wondering I might have a setting wrong within the BIOS, or I'm wondering if I missed a step or did the installation wrong. I installed the add-in card first, then enabled Thunderbolt in the BIOS, then installed the drivers. That was the exact order.

Anyways, here are a few screenshots I took of the BIOS to see if that might help.

I know it's not on their compatibility list, and the cool thing is, neither are those Asus Z97 motherboards that people have been getting it to work on without any issues. Also thanks for the link to the AsRock one, I would of totally bought an AsRock one if it wasn't for the fact that no one has them in stock anymore. =)
