Trying to fix lag

Let’s start off by saying I don’t have the best internet. But with that aside I have wierd lag I’ve never seen before. When I’m playing a game it will run decently well (playable) then my screen will freeze and the game is sooo teleporty. I will take steps for ward and lag back. The players will be jumping everywhere. This will last for a couple games then 1 game will be ok. Also when doing something like changing a gun it will take up to 8 secones. I know people with worse internet (we tested on speedtest.net) and they don’t get this. Any idea? Thanks!

1. Can you do a speedtest and post the results?
The lag you desceibed is high ping. I'd say playable ping is below 100 ms. ( 60ms is optional in my opinion)
Also you might have high jitter ( the ping jumps up and down) and packet losses.

How to fix
Try connecting via ethernet, thats the only thing someone could do to simply improve internet without messing around with advanced settings.

If thats doesnt fix you might want to try calling your internet provider

For example fortnite, it says 56ms. And screenshot is not available (broken home button). Also I speed net jitter is always low and ping is always under 20
