Hi,
I have an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX mobo with AMD FX 8350.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
I would like to have 32GB ram but when I check QVL im offered only 32GB packs. Although 16GB packs listed but I founf no info if I purchase 2x 16GB (4x8GB) and fit them in my 4 slots then I'll actually see 32GB at the end.
Qualified 2x16GB packs will result 32GB?
Im thinking to buy 2 packs of CORSAIR CMZ16GX3M2A2400C10
Here is QVL for Sabertooth 990FX 2.0:

Can anyone give me advice on this please?
Thanks

Memory is guaranteed in the form it is sold in. No guarantee for compatibility with "Two packs".

My advise about using 2400MHz speed memory with an AMD FX CPU is that it is a bad idea. I do not think it is realistic to expect the PC to boot with memory at that speed.

I would suggest using:
CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10

AMD FX CPUs support 1866MHz with one DIMM per channel.
AMD FX CPUs support 1600MHz with two DIMMs per channel.
Higher frequencies require an overclocked system.
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX is a dual channel motherboard.

Multiple kits are not guaranteed to work together. By mixing memory kits together, there may be compatibility issues such as unable to boot or unable to operate at rated specifications.

QVL show examples of what works and is not all inclusive.
