I am in a dilemma right now, my current build is:

Pentium G4560, 4 GB DDR4 RAM, GT 710, 1 TB HDD and no SSD.

I am planning on upgrading my computer for workstation purposes. I mainly do digital art in photoshop and I do 3D modeling and animation in blender. It's obvious already with the heavy applications I run, that the measly 4 GB of RAM is holding back the entire system. But due to the RAM prices being high right now, buying brand new RAM is not an option for me.

Now, I am eyeing on a RYZEN build right now, the Ryzen 5 1600 looks really appealing with its 6 cores and 12 threads, I could buy the cpu along with the motherboard easily. But, I just learned that in blender, you could use your GPU to do the rendering, and the charts say that GPU rendering is way faster compared to CPU rendering. But, the GT 710 I currently have can't do much.

My question is, is it better to go Ryzen 5 1600 and stick with my GPU or buy a Ryzen 3 1200 alongside a GTX 1050ti?
I did the math already, and this is all I could afford.
I'm really tight on a budget and I could really need an SSD in my system since my workload calls for it, but, that can wait.
