What makes the Hyper 212 the best budget cooler?

Hello, I'm going to buy a budget cooler that's around 1500Rs (24$) and the Hyper 212/EVO/X all goes here for above 3000Rs+. I can manage to get a Hyper 212 though, for 2700Rs but I've also been thinking to buy this: https://www.mdcomputers.in/cooler-master-air-cooler-hyper-410r-red-led-rr-h410-20pk-r1.html
(CM Hyper 410R)

It has quite same specs, just smaller fan and lighter..

But everyone is saying that they Hyper 212 EVO/X is just the best for budget.

My question is, what makes the Hyper 212 so better than what I've mentioned in the link above? And is it worth more than twice the money?

Thanks..

Solution
The thermal take & c400 are about the same , they're also abput the same as the 212 evo performance wise.

Youre talking 2-3c between them max . think mid 60's fullload on a sub 100w xeon & you won't be far off.

The deepcool you had wasnt right then , I don't know what model it was but the 200/300/s40 all have custom fans so its impossible for them to do the reverse like you said.

Any standard fan youd just spin it round to reverse the airflow anyway.

S40/300 aren't as good but they used to be literally half the price 1200-1500rs.

At 2300-2500 they're not worth the money.

Running a Xeon X3460 with a stock Intel that previously came with my i3, I've had to downclock this Xeon from stock 2.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz with turbo off to maintain temps below 70C, so I need a lot better cooler.

(I've installed and checked my thermal solutions twice)

Also, will this help: https://www.mdcomputers.in/antec-air-cooler-c400.html?search=CPU%20Cooler&description=true

Or this: https://www.mdcomputers.in/thermaltake-air-cooler-contac-silent-12-cl-p039-al12bl-a.html

It was "the best budget cooler", about 5 years ago.
It remains in peoples suggestions because of inertia and availability.

There are multiple newer ones, in the same price range, that perform better.
A Cryorig H7, for instance. $35.

Cryorig, Noctua and all those are pretty high priced in here, the H7 goes for 80$ here..

About the only thing that made the hyper212 such a good 'budget' cooler was its price point. As such, it's really no better than a good chunk of the smaller 120mm towers and even the 92mm Raijintek Aidos has almost identical performance, as does the 120mm AIO's like the Corsair h55/60. But at $10-$20 cheaper than most, it's hard to match in a price-performance ratio. As is, it's easily beaten by the Cryorig H7, which has a much lower height (145mm vrs hyper212 160mm) but still a 120mm fan. But again, the H7 averages $40 vrs the hyper212 $30.

So the question becomes what's of greater value to you. The 5°C under loads or the $10 savings.

I can get an s40, but is it really better than the thermaltake?

Well the prices aren't same in here, just add 30$ more than what the actual price is..

These are my choices right now:
1)https://www.amazon.in/DeepCool-CPU-Cooler-GAMMAXX-S40/dp/B00CVWQEIW?tag=googinhydr18418-21
(Gammaxx S40)
2)https://www.mdcomputers.in/antec-air-cooler-c400.html?search=CPU%20Cooler&description=true
(Antec C400)
3)https://www.mdcomputers.in/cooler-master-air-cooler-hyper-410r-red-led-rr-h410-20pk-r1.html
(CM Hyper 410R, it's almost half the price)
4)https://www.mdcomputers.in/thermaltake-air-cooler-contac-silent-12-cl-p039-al12bl-a.html
(Thermaltake Contac Silent 12)

What's the best option? Thinking of going for the C400, is it the best amongst?

And therefore my statement of "availability".

The 212 line is "OK".
I wouldn't call it "the best".

In addition...there are various definitions of 'best'.
A 212 EVO is NOT the best, if it is 2mm too large for your specific case.

Aight apologies, but can you help me out in deciding what'd be the best option out of my 4 choices? Thanks..

Everyone of them has quite identical specs, except for the Hyper 410R..

The C400 has an LED Fan, and that's why I'm opting to go for it

But cooling and performance is my priority, so, if any one of them is even just like 2% better in cooling, I'd leave the C400..

I've previously bought a deepcool, and the fan ran opposite(Blowing air out of the fins). So I'm not really trusting Deepcool, even though I believe that was probably a manufacturing defect or a small mistake from them. Also it's 16.5cm long, and my case accepts upto around 15.8 cm (just measued the distance from my mobo surface to the side panel, hope that'd work).

and Thermaltake cpu coolers aren't really relevant, so I guess I'd go for the C400?

A Hyper 212+ "$25 or 1500r" is a little less efficient than a Evo I have used them on the following CPU'S using a Push Pull Config.

Phenom II X4 965 @ 4ghz "125W" CPU Prime Burn @ 62c. Under normal load it stayed under 56c
I7 920 @ 4ghz "130W" Prime 95 burn @ 70c. Under normal load it was below 60c
FX 6300 @ 4.6ghz "95W" Prime burn @ 60c. Under load 54c was the max most of the time it stayed in the high 40's.

Take it for what you wish the 212 line has been a prime seller for a reason they have always given good cooling at a low price point and in most cases they give the same cooling as units $10-$20 more expensive.
