Hello, I am having a very worried problem. But before I mention it, I will list down my specs

Intel 5960x
Asus rampage v
32GB ram ( now 20gb after issue)
256gb sad
1tb HDD
Corsair h100 cooler
Geforce gtx 980ti reference
Corsair ax1200i pay
Corsair 570x casing

Ok so problem started in my pc after 4 days. And it started fine, but after 30 Minutes of usage. It turned off suddenly and then it would turn on and off again and again itself. I immediately turned off the PSU.

After that I turned back PSU switch to on. The motherboard light was on. But once I press the power button , the pc would turn on for .5 seconds and then immediately turn off. I tried many times but same results.

Then I checked the light on PSU. And it was RED. So I decided to remove everything and perform safe test.

Then I connected basic parts to PSU to check if its working. Here were the results

3 of my rams are not working anymore. I tried each ram only, and out of 8 rams 3 are dead. So it booted with 5 rams. The GPU was not working in the first slot. But after some tried the GPU worked fine and I was taken to bios and then to window s. So I concluded that maybe ram was the issue.

I assemble everything back but unfortunately I was greeted with some error codes.and getting no display at all. The GPU was working and the fans were spinning as well.

I reseted the bios, removes the battery and pressed memory ok button. It then booted with display . I also able to reach windows. But after 15 minutes, the pc shut down and acted exactly as before. It started to turn on and off. And then would turn on for slight second and then turn off completely.

This time with parts already in the casing, I removed everything from PSU and performed safe test. After that I connected only motherboard and SSD but not GPU. It would power on fine.

But whenever I connect GPU , I it will cause issue. It would give me 79 error. And vga_led would light up. There would be no display.

I changed new GPU power cable and also changed slot. But same problem.

Is my GPU dead ? Or the PSU is causing issue. Please help.

Well to anyone who is having similar problem. It's the PSU that was giving the issue.

I checked my system on other pc and then also plugged in other PSU to my system. In both cases, the system turned on property. However, 3 of my rams are dead.

And the PSU always shows red light . I don't know why considering it is one of the best PSU in market.

The best way to understand this is to try setup to another computer. I recently had a similar problem because my display card was broken. Your card is probably dead.
