Should I flip the Power Supply switch off before pulling power cord out from wall ?

After I shut down my PC I like to pull the power cord out from wall but before pulling the power cord out from wall do I need first to flip the power supply switch button to off ?

Your CMOS battery will discharge when the PC is unplugged or the power supply switch is off. It will not discharge when the PC power supply is on. It will still take a long time to discharge. I don't know why they still use a CMOS battery on the MB.
