Pc crashes when launching games

I recently had this problem that everytime i launch a pc game it freezes. Ive benchmarked the gpu and cpu and everything worked. I swapped my gpu to an older one and tried to play games on it and it worked. Im quite confused why im currently having issues. (My old gpu doesnt require pce connection for power)

Cpu Fx 6300
Gpu xfx 480 8gb
Psu 800w bronze
12gb of ram
Mobo msi 970 gaming
1tb WD

did a ram diagnostic and there was no errors and my psu is evga 850w bronze also at very rare times the games launch

Ive updated the bios but still the same issue. Could it be the AIO cooler I installed the day before the issues occured?

If this happened after the adding of the cooler could you look at it,maybe reseat it and check if you use the right headers on the motherboard.

Tested with just 8gb of ram? It's easyily done and can't hurt.
Can try the gpu in the second pcie slot for testing,see if it gives problems there.

Alright, i've done the changes including reinstalling my cpu cooler and removing the 4gb of ram. And..... It worked! Not sure what was the issue since I did miss a piece for my cooler I forgot to install but people are saying it shouldnt affect it. So I dont know but thank you for your advice!
