I have i3 3200
4gb ram in my desktop
My laptop is HP 350 G1(i5 4200, 4gb ram)
Which should I upgrade to play GTA v and pubg at playable settings. I don't mind 720p

Need more details about your system. Forget about upgrading the laptop for gaming, so that is out.

For the desktop you need to list the brand/model of the component, case size/type, power supply brand/model, if i twas a pre-built system need the full model of it. You would need another 4GB RAM for the desktop and probably a video card if you don't have one.

Doens't my laptop's specs meet the recommended requirements for GTA V? ( recommended:i5 3430
And Radeon 7870)

Your CPU may be OK, you want 8 GB of RAM for GTA V and you did not list the video card in the laptop.

For the desktop, another 4 GB of RAM and a GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 560 card will be OK for GTA V. Make sure your case size can fit the cards and check for a newer BIOS for the motherboard before swapping.

Because I'm seeing an increase in this behavior, I'm going to start posting these warnings publicly. Toms hardware is NOT a 24/7 tech help site. We don't answer questions "live" or instantly. This is a forum. Meaning people come here looking for help. Opening multiple (I counted 4 from you just today and yesterday.) threads on the same issue isn't allowed. When using this site, open ONE thread per problem! The problem here isn't is X stronger than Y, but how do I play X game? Opening multiple threads on the same issue just pushes other peoples problem off the first pages of the forum and get them less views. Which is why bumping and multiple threads on the same subject aren't allowed here. Stick to THIS thread and THIS thread only. This is your only warning! Failure to follow these rules will result in getting banned for longer and longer periods of time until you are banned completely. Thank you. (This goes for not only this OP, but everyone. He's simply the THIRD person today I've found doing this.)

Oh hey I wasn't intentionally doing that okay? I got various answers for the same problem which made me more and more confused so I thought I should do it separately. I didn't know this was against the rules

And if you look at all 4 threads the questions are different. I do want to know which one is better. If you have a problem with that then I don't know what to say. GTA V is just an example that I took. It could be any game. So if I had asked about 4 different games then would you had be happy?

Which is better, X PSU or Y? X CPU or Y CPU? X or Y RAM? They might be different parts, but if you are just trying to play GTA5 you only need ONE thread which asks what you need to play it. Making a bunch of threads about different parts to do ONE thing is just spamming the forum. You aren't the only person to do this, just the most recent I've come across today. What's the issue? You want to play X game. Use one thread to figure that out. Please.

Same question was asked in 2016 also

"I want to buy a graphics card for playing games like Saints Row IV, GTA V, Far Cry 4, Witcher3, Just Cause 3,etc.
I want to play these games without lagging. Resolution around 1024X768 would also be okay.
I have a PC of the following specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3-3210 CPU @3.20 GHz
Motehrboard: Intel DH61BF
RAM: 4Gb DDR3 memory (665 MHz)
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 2500 (according to CPUz, my
graphics memory is 1804 MB)
PSU: Intex Techno 450 20 + 4 pin sata
I was thinking of buying either gt 710 or hd 5450 ( I am getting both of them for around 45$ each).
I want to know if they can run those games and also if my psu will support them or not.
Thanks for your help!!"
