General Research Questions about GPUs and Motherboards

I have built my current gaming rig for a mixture of school and personal use. By this fall, after I am finished with school, I am considering either rebuilding or replacing my current system. I will be focused on setting up a drone startup business in my home area which will focus on video recordings and photo shots of roof and structural inspections and inspecting drain gutters for cleaning as well as other potential business activities such as aerial recordings of client parties, weddings, parades, or Christmas decorations.

The next computer rig will likely be built for both gaming and photo/video editing purposes. My intention is to build this rig using whatever succeeds the Intel i7-8700K, the maximum amount of RAM supported by both the CPU and motherboard, and whatever succeeds Nvidia's GTX 1070 or 1080 series GPUs.

When setting up a home theater system, it is often recommended to get all or as many of the components (TV, Disc Player, Speakers, etc.) from the same manufacturer. When building a PC, I try to purchase as many reliable components from the same manufacturer as possible both for convenience and easier integration of the components through Microsoft Windows. In particular, I try to get both the GPU and motherboard from the same manufacturer.

The only manufacturers that I am aware of that produce both motherboards and Nvidia-based GPUs are Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and EVGA. Out of those four, Asus and Gigabyte are considered the top recommendations. I have seen MSI frequently mentioned on Linus Tech Tips and NCIX YouTube videos and occasional mentions of EVGA. However, I have had problems with a number of Asus's components in both my previous and current gaming rig over a 4 year period and I am planning to ditch Asus completely when I do my next computer rebuild or replacement. My current build uses a Gigabyte motherboard and an Asus GTX 970 Strix ( I did not feel there was enough of a performance increase between the 970 and 1070 to justify the price tag at the time). My two questions are as followed:

1. From your research and/or experience, how reliable are MSI and EVGA's motherboards, GPUs, and other possible products produced by those brands?

2. How good and reliable are EVGA and MSI's customer services?

3. Are there any other reliable brands that manufacture both motherboards and GPUs?

Now, I know this may be a little early to ask these questions but my reason is that if Nvidia decides to release new GPUs either this spring or summer, I would like to get one if they offer them in low introductory prices incase the retailers decide to jack up the prices due to crypto miners. Unless I choose to go for A GPU made directly from Nvidia, I would like to purchase a reliable brand GTX GPU and get a motherboard from that same brand when I do my next build. For me, my top concern is reliability followed by cost.

Thanks in advance.

how reliable are MSI and EVGA's motherboards, GPUs. R/ I always use MSI i really like it, performance and reliability I never has issues with MB or GPU from this brand. I have right now more than 16 year to use MSI.

How good and reliable are EVGA and MSI's customer services? Never in my 16 years to use MSI I have to use the customer service, so dont know.

Are there any other reliable brands that manufacture both motherboards and GPUs? no tops brand for me MSI or ASUS, then asrock and gigabyte.

well I will answer base on my experience, so its just my opinion.
