Best GPU to run No Man's Sky - High Settings

I need some help deciding which GPU would be best to run No Man's Sky at High Settings, I keep researching and I keep going back and forth with decisions. I have been looking into the GTX 1050ti and GTX 960-980.

My budget is anything under $300.
Current GPU: Radeon HD 7850
CPU: i7-7700k

Thank you for your reply. Few Questions:

- Now as far as getting No Man's Sky to run on high settings? You think either of those two can accomplish that?
- Which GTX 970 or GTX 980 do you recommend? I am looking for some good deals on Ebay and if its really worth it, I may just go a little over $300.
