Hi!

So I've been experience difficulties with my graphics card, power supply, and PCIE 6+2 Pin cable. I really don't know much about cables, so I was wondering which I side I needed to plug into my power supply and graphics card.

One side is 8-pin, and the other side is 6+2 pin.

Here's my graphics card:

Here's my power supply:

If y'all need anymore information, please tell me so.

Thanks!

Assuming that PSU comes with another PCI-e cable, did you try it? I'm wondering if the cable you are using is no good.

Can you test the GPU in another system?

Try plugging the PCI-e cable into another slot on the PSU?

It's not a PSU issue right? It worked with previous card for example?

I'm doing exactly what you are telling me to do, but I keep getting a message that reads "Please power down and connect the pcie power cables" even though I'm fairly sure I plugged them in.

Do you know how I'm screwing up?

I connected them properly, but it still shows the same message. Could it be my cable that's the problem?

Possibly. I have seen wire ends loose in the connector more than once. A careful inspection may be in order.

You know, I just checked amazon and apparently the cord I bought is only compatible with Silverstone PSUs, so I made a big mistake (I have a corsair power supply). Turns out that the cord is the problem.

Thanks anyways though!
