Cpu compatability with motherboard

I have a intel pentium g2020 lga 1155 and asrock h71m dgs. I want to upgrade my cpu to i5 3570 lga 1155.i know that if the socket is same they will work. I just want to make sure that they don't have any issues like the 7th and 8th gen cpu won't work in same motherboard even though both are lga 1151.will the new corsair vs550 psu work with my asrock motherboard

The only issue might be BIOS compatibility. Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see which BIOS supports the i5-3570.

i5-3570 is supported since bios P1.50

Both pentium g2020 and i5 3570 have same bios P1. 50........ But there are 2 or three varieties of pentium like pentium g2020(No), (E1), (l1) all three have same bios P1. 50
