In the past few months the graphics card that I wanted to buy doubled in price. The graphics card I wanted was just a gtx 1080 asus strix. My question is will it every drop back down to normal price?
yep, as mentioned before, don't buy now.. not even used... plenty of high prices and cheats out there.
wait... or get a GTX 980ti if you can find a reliable source for one. they are not quite as expensive as 1080ti's

980Ti is about equal to 1070.
If you are in deep need of a new graphic card, the older 980Ti can be an interesting option due to those crypto mining chaos.
If this crypto mining chaos continues, most people will ditch PC gaming and go to console. Trust me!

True... I mean GPU mining doesn't really even make much sense anymore with hashrates on things like AntMiners. Drives me crazy though. Had to get a new PC recently after my laptop broke, so went to Craigslist. Like 70% of the PCs on there didn't have cards because you could get so much more just selling it separately.
I saw the price for a KFA2 GTX1080Ti EXOC for about €690 and then...all of these crazyness started..
Guess what! That sh*t costs actual over €900...and it keeps going up.
