Hi all!

Two days ago i was using my PC, then it suddenly shutted down.
When i tried to restart it most of the time it won't showed me nothing on display, then, sometimes it worked well and showed me the normal pc boot with BIOS display etc etc, but after some time it rebooted itself.

I opened the case the see what's was happening at PC's boot and one of the GPU's light was cheked, precisely that: "D1601 - Red LED On, shows critical temperature fault".

The problem is that the -RED LED- light on at PC start, even after some hours of no pc-using.

I thought there was some dust inside the GPU or maybe thermal paste completely dry, so i opened the GPU to clean it and to change thermal paste; doing so, i checked for some dust even on other computer's parts like PSU and CPU: they were clean!

I tried to reboot the PC but the problem wasn't solved: in like 20 times i rebooted the PC only 2
worked well so i downloaded SpeedFan to watch my PC's temperatures and the only component listed "hot" was the GPU at 60° (that's strange 'cause it's not a really hot temperature for the GPUs); so i manually increased GPU speed fan to lower temperature but after some minutes, PC always restart.

I double checked everything, but now, after two days, PC won't boot: it start "working" (fans and everything) but the LED D1601 on GPU always stay red and now sometimes even the LED D601 flashes!. So i can't see nothing on display and can't even access the BIOS.

How can i solve this problem?

- Here's the system specs:

Mobo: ASUS P5kc
RAM: 2 GB
GPU: ATI Radeon Sapphire HD 4870
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
PSU: ALLIED Premier Model: DR 8500BTX (max 500W)
OS: Windows 10 64bit

27-1-2018 update - now the LED 601 always flash, i think the source of all problems was always the PSU. I'll change it, hope it's only the PSU and not the GPU too.
