Hello Everyone.
I am seeking some advice/opinions on my next CPU as I'm stuck on which way to go.
This is for a 1080p gaming rig that will be running most if not all games at high/ultra settings and hit 60 FPS. Looking at 6/8 cores (12/16 threads) and using 3000+ speed memory.
My main dilemma is that Ryzen doesn't deliver top performance at 1080, and I'm not sure if Intel provides a meaningful jump in FPS at that resolution.
While money isn't a primary concern, I would like to keep the cost of the CPU in the $200-365 range.
So please, give me your opinion. But also give the reasons behind them.
