I have a new all-in-one printer. After I printed a few photos(I found them on internet) using it, I noticed that the clouds in the photos look purple tinted although they look more in gray tones on my pc monitor.I am using it's original glossy photo paper.

Is it normal?I wanted to send the scanned image after I printed the photo but the original photo is coprighted by "canstock" so I think I will not be able to send it to here.

That definitely sounds like a print head issue.Sometimes you need to do a few of them in a row for the nozzles to get cleared up, even if the manual says otherwise. I'd check in to printer forums with...

There are other similar websites.

You may need to "edit" the color code/schemes to get the image gray to print more gray. But then again the monitor could also be not showing the purples that may be in the actual photographs.

You could adjust the image with photo editing software or perhaps some tweaking on the printer itself.

As for copyright, it should be a simple matter to go to the source website and check on the rules of usage. If you just want to prints copies for your /personal use on a wall that may be okay. However, if the photographs or images are being displayed as a "for sale" image - then not okay. Ask the source. May be free to use provided you give credit and do not alter the image. Not sure if color corrections to restore image fidelity is considered "altering".

Will leave that determination to wiser minds and legal folks amongst the moderators.

Thanks for your answer. A few minutes ago I did a printerhead cleaning using printer's driver.I had already done that just about 3-4 days ago and cause it warns me against using it often(it says this process wastes some ink) I didn't want to do it again but after I have done it a few minutes ago, I printed a test page again and now the purple tint went away, though now I see a colorful vertical banding at the righ of the photo on the paper, it looks like a rainbow but I don't see it on the monitor or on the papers which I printed previously.

Color calibrating between a monitor and a printer is often times a pain. That's why professionals will usually have to use specific software and hardware calibrators to get an exact match. Often times a monitor may have controls built in to help and Windows itself has calibration built in. Check your printer manual and monitor manual for more information on what they offer for calibration and you can probably find a good middle ground between the OS/monitor/printer without needing to get in to professional grade calibration.

As for copyright usage rights. First off, thank you for respecting someones property rights. It's not often people give a damn, and as someone who deals with that it's really nice to see. What you're trying to do would likely fall under the "commentary and criticism" part of "Fair Usage" as your not trying to distribute/sell/claim it as your own. If you really wanted to make sure tho, email the stock agency or photographer and let them know you're trying to use it as an example of a calibration issue on an online forum and they'll let you know if that break the copyright and if you have permission to use it in that way.

That definitely sounds like a print head issue.Sometimes you need to do a few of them in a row for the nozzles to get cleared up, even if the manual says otherwise. I'd check in to printer forums with your model and see if people have the same issues and have found ways around it. Inkjet nozzles often get dirty and clogged up and while the manufacture says you can just do a head cleaning, sometimes it may take more than that. As an example I used to have to take my print head assembly out of the printer and soak bits in alcohol to clear them out if it went more than a month or so between prints.
