Hello people,

I just installed a second graphic card Nvidia 1070 Founder Edition. When I go into the Nvidia Control Panel, I see both cards but there is no green line underneath the cards and there is no option for enabling SLI. I looked at my Bios and one card says x16 and the other card is saying x4. What am I doing wrong. Can anyone help please.

My motherboard is Asus Deluxe ii X99. Both graphic cards are connected via the standard sli cable which came with the motherboard.

it's the first and 3rd slot shown in the picture. Also the SLI bridge that I have used which came with the board.

That image is of the ASUS X99-Pro and not the ASUS X99-Deluxe II, but looking at the manual, it doesn't appear to make a difference. Please confirm which motherboard you have. Either way, it appears you have the cards installed in the correct slots.

Are you using a two-card or three card SLI bridge (image shows three card)?
Do you have either an M.2 or U.2 storage device?

@wolfshadw and @The Paladin

The board I have is:

ASUS LGA2011-v3 5-Way Optimization SafeSlot X99 ATX Motherboard X99-DELUXE II https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F8558Z8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5cMAAbEGG2X9Y

I bought mine brand new.

The M2 card I have is:

Samsung 960 PRO Series - 512GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6P512BW) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXS4TYB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_R5LAAbCG6H2YB

I used the 3way SLI bridge in picture above.

I have the SLI bridge running between two cards. They way I connected them is the first input and the third input. Center one is vacant. I hope I make sense.

Ok. Thanks for that.

There is a note in your motherboard specs which states that if the M.2 slot is occupied, then PCIEX16_3 should be running at x8. I still do not know why your BIOS is reporting PCIEX16_3 at x4.

I would try connecting the two cards using just the first and center connectors and leave the third vacant.

OK GUYS, PLEASE HELP.

So first I ordered a high speed bridge but it didn't work because both GPUs are far from each other and the SLI Bridge I ordered was the 2 slot bridge, so I ordered a 4 slot bridge from Nvidia and hopefully it will arrive soon.

Does this seem OK?

Also, sometimes the computer won't boot up. Sometime it get stuck on the startup with the logo and sometime it's stuck when the windows 10 logo appear for the first time and everything goes blank.

Please tell me what am I doing wrong.
