1080 TI temp throttle points?

So I've been playing with OC'ing my 1080 TI and notice that no matter what I do there seems to be Thermal throttle points built in. I'm running a low 97 MHz clock OC and 500 MHz Mem OC, 120 % power.

at 50 C GPU temp it drops from 2025 MHz down to 2012 MHz
at 60 C GPU temp it drops from 2012 MHz down to 1999 MHZ

It never goes above 112% power
I can't seem to find any way to prevent it from throttling at these temp points. Any thoughts?

The only way I have seen to keep from hitting the throttle points is to keep the temperature low, otherwise it will drop by 13mhz at each step. Keeping load temperatures under 48c seems to solve the problem, but with 13mhz drops you probably won't notice any measurable difference.

I can't seem to find anything that even acknowledges these throttle points exist. Have you seen anything that mentions them?
