Building New Gaming System - Feedback Please

I've gotten in the habit of posting new systems here. Love the feedback of this forum!

New system is for 1440p gaming. I already have the case and PSU (I know 850W is overkill).

Also, I'm in Japan, so don't pay attention too much to prices, as they are different here.

I plan to overclock the CPU. I will eventually be going to a custom loop again, but going with a H100i for now. Maybe stick some RGB fans on the rads? I like bling, but that just might be too much?

This will be the first time in a long time I have ventured away from an Asus board. I'm really liking the looks of these Gigabyte boards, and the reviews I have read are good. Open to feedback on this.

I think a 250Gb SSD will be enough for me. I typically only play one game until I'm bored of it, then delete it. So one game on the SSD at a time.

My main concern is the VRMs on the motherboard. I'm having troubles finding detailed information on whether the gaming 7 motherboard's VRMs are better than the one I have chosen, and whether it's worth that much extra money.

I know GPU prices are nuts. Oh well, what's a gamer going to do? The 1070Ti is about $600 U.S. here in Japan.

If we look at these scores it scores it scores 50 points under the ASUS HERO and z370 F series , thats okay.
So I would defenetly get for the aorus series because im not a BIG fan of ocing.
Some personal opinions, I would the tempered glass series from the phanteks because it looks really sweet or the new nzxt h700i.
Goodluck man, it looks sweet.

Thanks guys. The more I research, the more I'm leaning towards the gaming 7 now. $90 USD more (in Japan) but like you said madmatt30, the VRM setup is far superior. I don't plan on going for any OCing records, but as a PC enthusiast, it just wouldn't feel right to have a board with known sub par VRMs.
