I wasnt sure where to post this thread (video cards/motherboards) so if i did post it in the wrong please tell me
So.. i bought a new GT730 GDDR5 1GB for my rig because i am on a very tight budget and i thought it would pare well with my CPU ,here are the specs:
Core 2 Quad Q9400
4GB of DDR3
Asus GT 610(old card)
320 wat HP supply (Part number 503378-001)
Motherboard: 3048-h (Part number 503362-001)
The 730 does work work on other computers, It just dosent work on this motherboard
Is there anything i can do ?

Solution
One thing that you can try is a BIOS update and make sure that the connections to the card are secure.

If that does not help, this card likely will not work with that PC. HP computers built before 2012 do not support any video card in the nVIDIA 700, 900, or 1000 series due to the motherboard BIOS not being able to load the larger vbios on the graphics card. This is a known limitation. Sorry to say that the 600 series is the highest that you can go for that motherboard. A lot of people have fallen into this trap. Recommend sell the card or keep it for another PC.
