Hello everyone,

I've recently had a problem with frames skipping in game (fortnite, league of legends). My frames are constantly 100+ with no dips or drops, but experience random skips in animations. My network ping is also stable.

Here are my pc specs:
Intel core i7 7700k
Gigabyte Geforce gtx 1080
Gigabyte z270x Ultra Gaming
Samsung 840 Pro series 256GB SSD
Patriot Viper 16GB RAM (2X8)
Corsair RM750 PSU

I also had the current problem on an older build, but I've recently rebuilt my pc, upgraded the cpu, gpu, mobo, and RAM. But still experiencing this problem. The only parts remaining from old pc are the PSU and SSD.

I've reinstalled windows, done clean installs of drivers to gpu, managed temps (nothing going over 50c while idle) reapplied thermal paste to cpu, upgraded firmware of ssd

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'll be checking this thread frequently. Let me know what additional details I can provide. Thanks again.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'random skips in animations' - Does the FPS drop when this happens?

It *Could* be to do with the relationship between your monitors refresh rate and your FPS. Do you have V-sync enabled? Try it with vsync enabled if not. That should help.

What I mean is my character will teleport somewhere, without the animation of walking to the targeted point. etc etc
And no while this happens, fps is constant.

I've tried enabling v-sync but doesnt change. I've also tried enabling v-sync with triple buffering, still no change
