So, my Nexus10, mint condition, is starting to die a slow death... well, battery is anyways. replaceable I know but also finding on occasion some apps won't update or install because not compatible.

I don't really root or anything anymore, never had a use for it, it is unlocked though and I liked that because used a stock android version, updates were fast/easy to get. Was hoping to get another Google tablet but the Pixel is way outta my price range. Hoping $250CAD, same as I paid for my old Nexus 10 (used). Lasted me 3yrs.

I found a mint Nexus9 for $150CAD... is it worth the upgrade?

Been pouring over the benchmark lists like Passmark, and wish you could narrow it down and omit phones and show 9-10" tablets only. Seems to be missing a lot of models as well.

Is there something maybe better than the Nexus9 around the $250CAD price mark? See a few in that range for Samsung and Asus, with SD card slots which is nice... but newer doesn't always seem to be faster... TabA on one site is ranked #619, Nexus 10 is #643 so not really much of a jump up... same site has the Nexus9 ranked #88 which to me seems like a noticeable jump. That would be the Futuremark benchmarks.

PassMark, Nexus 10 is 8,646, Nexus 9 52,506...but those numbers are really hard to fathom if its way faster or sorta faster.

Anyways, just wondered if mint Nexus9 for $150 is worth it for an upgrade? or is there something better/faster of the same quality around $250CAD (new or used).

Just light gaming, internet...

Thanks

Went for the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus 10.1".... only tablet I could find comparable to a Nexus 10... almost identical screen res, 9000mah+ battery, front speakers.

Shame they didn't re-release the Nexus 10... IMO apart from the lack of an SD Card slot, it was the best designed 10" tablet made. Just needs the cpu/gpu/ram updated.
