I want to get better fans than the stock ones that came in my computer, I was looking at the thermaltake riing 12 Blue LED fans, but I have an h100i v2 and the radiator is mounted on the top, So i was wondering can I use the Thermaltake riing 12 fans in place of the stock radiator fans? Will it be better or worse? I was also looking at corsair LL series fans, can I use those in place of radiator fans? Is the corsair LL series or the thermaltake riing 12 fans better?

These are the Thermaltake 12 Fans - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA8EF5UY0013&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Case+Fans-_-9SIA8EF5UY0013&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkq-7xv3w2AIVhR5pCh02ZAsbEAQYAiABEgICl_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

No they aren't. I have a H100i V2 in my personal rig and those are 4 pin connections. (I think you NEED to run 4 pin fans if your connecting the fans to the pump itself, because the pump doesn't have the ability to switch between DC (3 pin) and PWM mode (4 pin) it's always in 4 pin mode.)

The 4 pins I'd suggest are what Lufij recommended. Though wow, very pricy. Here are a few options:

1. Here's some "harsh" RGB fans: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181121
2. Here's the best looking RGB fans but super expensive: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181133

3. If you want to go the cheap route, buy regular non led fans and pair them with this...

You're going to need this kit if you want RGB while also availing PWM functionality. The Thermaltake fans you've listed are not RGB and are only 3 pin which negates any PWM functionality from the Corsair H100i's pump header.

I must ask though, are you look for LED fans that are static pressure optimized or just seeking out premium quality static pressured fans? If the latter, look no further than Nosieblocker E-loop fans.

O ok, What is the PWM functionality? Is that like a fan controller?

PWM is a newer technology for controlling fan RPMs. The old 3 pin connection uses the old school way of lowering and increasing RPMs which is by decreasing or increasing the amount of voltage is going to the fan.

With PWM 4 pin headers, there is always the same amount of voltage going to the fan, however the 4th wire added allows the header to tell the fan exactly what RPM to run at, so it can be more precise than 3 pin headers.

O alright, that makes since, so the thermaltake riing 12 fans should work on the h100i v2 in place of the stock radiator fans? And they will preform well?

They can, but for the CPU fan you really should try to get a 4 pin fan, it just makes things easier.

But if you still want to go the 3 pin route, yeah it will be fine, though depending on if you have the fans plugged into the corsair h100i pump or the motherboard, i'm not sure if plugging 3 pin connectors into the h100i pump works.

The stock fans with the h100i are 3 pin fans and they are plugged into the splitter that is on the H100i, so i figured I would just do the same, is there a 4 pin fan you would suggest over the thermaltake riings?

I personally have Corsair's maglev ML120s on my h100i V2 and they are super sweet. So you could pair ML120s with halos RGBs. Though their 9 bucks a piece, so might be the same price as going with a normal nicer RGB Corsair LL fan.

I hope this helps, just a few ideas thrown your way.
