My problem is that when I use a gtx 7600 it runs with no problems but when I use a gtx 1060 the screen shows only a black screen

Sorry typed a 6 instead of a 9 it's gtx 7900. But power shoudn't be the problem I have connected a 6 pin connector.

no your card consumes 80w and a gtx 1060 3 times as much, you probably own one of those nuclear powerplant supplies as well.

The GTX 1060 only requires 400 watts, while the GTX 7900 requires 450 Watts.
Not knowing what motherboard you have, I don't know all BIOS settings for it. You may have a problem with Legacy versus UEFI Video OpROM Policy. Old video card would use Legacy while new cards use UEFI setting.
