i use to be able to use 2 monitors, one plugged into the GPU and the other in the motherboard while primarily using my GPU's graphics, this suddenly changed without any reasoning.

i've seen plenty of videos showing how to fix this on a laptop, there are some for desktops however they're outdated since amd catalyst no longer exists.

i dont want to completely disable my CPU's graphics because then my second monitor will not work. is my only option to plug both monitors into my GPU?

also, when my graphics were switched to my CPU, my font quality has had a huge decrease to where each letter has at least half the amount of pixels.

thanks for the suggestion, however there is no "Switchable Graphics" option for me in Radeon settings.

those only seem to be available if you're using a laptop, its got something to do with switching GPU's when charging and when not charging. but since im using a desktop it doesnt work for me

Yeah thats weird because it use to also work on desktops in some versions of the software. They may have removed it through as it would make sense too. Normally desktops use their dedicated GPUs for everything, while laptops switch between the two to save power.

So guess your only real option it to put both on the dedicated GPU. Is there some reason you can't do that or don't want to?

i didnt want to because my graphics card has 1 HDMI port and 3 display ports. and i only have 2 hdmi cables, so i had to plug one into the mother board if i wanted to use both monitors. i guess i need to buy a display cabel.

once i buy the cable and have both monitors plugged into my GPU, should i disable my CPU graphics?

I personally would disable it because I've ran into issues with games like GTA where it sees both GPUs and the game would crash, even it if was only using one of the two GPUs.

Although those issues might be fixed, who knows what other games have that problem as well.
