I wanna lower my CPU core voltage in my bios to see if my temps maybe get better as I’ve seen lots of people having my problem with an i7 6700k getting too hot. Im currently running at 1.344v I wanna try and lower it to 1.250v, I manually change it in my BIOS, save everything and reboot my pc but the problem is when my pc boots up again and i open my bios again its still running at 1.344v. Updated my bios, took the cmos out and plugged it back in. Im kinda out of options.

My rig:
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
i7 6700k 4.2ghz
GTX 1080ti strix OC
NZXT Kraken x52
Windows 10
