PC freezing while gaming,ran Prime95

Hello,guys. For the past weeks my pc kept freezing on me while playing video games. I checked my GPU using cinebench and MSI Kombustor and it was okay. After that i've tried using my ram in every possible combination single and dual chanel. On single channel the computer ran better with one of the sticks than it did with the other. More over, it only froze once in a couple of days(usually i get frozen after 30 minutes of gaming)
The PC passed memtest86 without showing any errors. But when i run prime95 on dual channel 2 i get this:
"FATAL ERROR: Final result was 6E877956, expected:F11B3E86.
Torture test completed 1 tests in 2 minutes - 1 errors, 0 warnings. "
This i get on worker #1,the other ones keep going.
When i did the stress test on dual channel 1,it froze after 3 minutes or so without showing any errors.
When i did it on single channel,same results.
Can anyone help? I've been trying to solve this for weeks but i didn't get any positive results.

PC specs:

Motherboard:Asus Prime B350M-A
CPU:AMD RYZEN 3 1300X, 3500MHz
GPU:Nvidia GeForce 1060 3GB G1 Gaming
Memory:Corsair 8GB (2x4GB), DDR4, CL15, 3000 MHz, Vengeance LPX

reset bios and try prime95/gaming again, see if it still freezes
If so, make sure all drivers and bios is up to date.
Did you install all the drivers from ASUS website?

as long as it is driver, not utilities, it is a must.
To reset, I will simply power down, turn off 'o-' switch on psu and remove cmos battery or use Clear CMOS jumper

I did it and then ran Prime95 again. after an hour it shows no errors.
How much longer should i go on?
After this i will also try playing some games.

you are good now. Try gaming and ask again if you need help ocing your cpu/ram

Everything is alright now. Thank you so much for your answer. I never thought about this,you saved me. Do you think ocing is a good idea? i've never done it and i am kind of afraid to do it. I used the turbo setting from my BIOS but i'm not sure that is an oc :-?

overclocking -> higher cpu clock speed, and faster ram speed. 3.5 is fine, you may try enabling xmp profile for faster ram if bios has it.

overclocking with safe voltage and temperature will not damage components. My 1600 is OCed to 3.8 with stock cooler, no issues.

Yes, what ram is it? See if there is XMP setting same as written on the ram.

then manually set docp timing for the ram, find DRAM voltage, set to 1.35v
set as 15-15-15-15-36

try 3000 first, see if boots, if not, reset bios and update bios if not most current version and try again, if still no boot, try 2667

And it doesn't boot. The fans start turning and then it all stops. i also tried 2666 and updated bios after that

do ram and cpu separately.
reset bios and just try ram first.
speed should be 2933, timing should be 15-15-15-15-36 instead of 17-....

Prime95 test stability for 1 hour at least. Monitor CPU temperature, if less than ~80, you are good. Keep decreasing VCore voltage but keep CPU speed, find lowest stable voltage. Good luck

If you like the temp and voltage, you can keep it. If you want better temp, try lowering voltage slowly and repeat the stress test. It is up to you. Congrats, mate. No need to do anything for me, glad you solve the issue

And one more question if I may. What are the changes that are made when i switch to asus optimal in my bios? and it would be a bad idea using it?

Manual setting is always better than auto. You can try 3.8G and 1.3v on VCore for starting point. What I mentioned changing voltage is all on VCore voltage. For DRAM voltage, 1.35v for sure.
