oh system is
asus p5q pro m/b
q6600 chip
8 gig corsair dominator ddr2 ram
running windows 10

(sorry about posting this twice but posted in wrong section)

Run 'sfc /scannow' in the Command Prompt as administrator.
On Windows 10, click the Windows key + X on the keyboard and select 'Command Prompt (admin)'
Type 'sfc /scannow' hit Enter.
It might be required to run the 'sfc /scannow' command around three times to fix all the issues.

That's something that might happen at any time in Windows.
Good to know your system is back to normal.
