Good hardware but low FPSs

My PC has:
Intel I7-4770 @ 3.4 GHZ
Radeon R9 390 @ 8GB of VRAM
8 GB of Ram
1TB seagate HDD

I achieve a consistent 60 FPS on games that have don't have massive open worlds, - Rainbow Six Seige, 2K, Fifa etc.

However on games that have larger worlds I constantly vary between 45-52 fps - GTA V, assassins creed origins, witcher 3 and stuff - not entirely sure why.

Is it something to do with only 8gbs of ram? Something to do with my hardrive only having around 200 GB free?

Any help is appreciated.

Hmm its defanetly not your ram. I have also 8gb of ram in gta 5 and I play it on 80-100 fps. It depends on which settings you play it on. If you play gta5 on ultra with 8gb of ram its not gonne work that well. You should also check if your video drivers are uptodate and if your hardware is overheating.
