there could be a problem with this setup.
This CPU requires at least BIOS version 1.6
Unfortunately, the only ways to check the BIOS version if it's currently older than 1.6 are:
1. put skylake CPU into the board
2. may be there is a sticker somewhere on the MB or the box with the BIOS version it was shipped with.
to update the BIOS from pre 16, you will need the skylake processor.

MSI has it a little confusing. Notice on the right-hand side it says 'Result'.

That appears to be the bios version that the CPU is supported with.
You also may find out your memory is not supported, but then again it might work. Let's hope so.
