I am trying to get my motherboard's OC software to work. When I first installed windows 8 pro x64 years ago it worked, but then I stopped OC'ing for a while. I decided to oc my cpu again last year around Oct, only to discover that Formula drive would not fully start up. Well I recently upgrade my gpu from 3x gtx 760N nighthawks to 1x gtx 1080 seahawk ek, and did a fresh install of windows 8. Even on a fresh install of win 8 Formula drive would not start up properly. I have checked task manager and it is running in the background process but it is not bringing up the interface window, nor is it in the system tray.

CPU: i7-4470k
MB: Z87 OC Formula/ac
OS: Win 8 pro x64
Boot drive: 2x corsair neutron gtx 120gb raid 0
Storage drive: 3 7200 rpm 2 tb raid 5

I have already tried both of those.

What version of Formula Drive do you have installed? You could try installing a different version.

I have tried both Formula Drive ver:1.0.61.3 and Formula Drive ver:2.0.49

You should contact ASRock Technical Support for help with this problem since it's ASRock's own utility not working properly on one of their motherboards. They should have a better idea what's wrong.

I will try though I will have to open my comp up to get some of the information I need, and I have looked at asrock forums.

You can use a software program like "Speccy" to find detailed information about your machines individual parts.
