I upgraded my aspire T180 (MSP61SM-AM motherboard) cpu from a Athlon 3800+ to a Phenom x4 9650. I know the processor should work because Phenom supports Am2 boards. One thing I think might be the problem is the low power supply that holds 250w. Anyway when I start up the computer all the lights turn on but no display show. Also I don’t hear any beeps at all. How can I fix the solution

the new CPU only draws 6W more than the old.
what model power supply? Brand and model please.
does CPU support require a BIOS update? check the mobo makers page.
is there a speaker connected to the motherboard?
was it beeping before the change?
does the old CPU still work in the system?

Power Supply: ATX -250pa
I updated my bios after it didn't boot for the first time and it still won't work. i dont't have a speaker plugged in and yes the beeping noise only happens with the old processor. The old cpu still works by the way.

Unfortunaly not, your motherboard has the right socket, but not the support for it. I recommend getting a better motherboard from a better manufacturer like asus. And check the compatibility ofcourse.
