A friend upgraded his PC and gave me an i5 4590 that he didn't need.
I want to buy this motherboard to support it but I'm unsure of what bios it will come with. If its outdated will I be able to update it using the CPU anyway?

This is the motherboard I'm buying

Looking at this list I require the P1.60 bios.

What will happen if the motherboard arrives with an older bios? Will it just not boot? Or allow me to update it?

BTW I'm limited to this particular motherboard as I cannot find any other ITX lga 1150 motherboards that arent on ebay second hand.

if you look at the bios dates the 1.6 bios is one of the first bios files out and is a few years old. most mb if it new should have one of the newer bios files on it. if you can get the serial number of the mb you can email the mb vendor support and they can tell but the serial number the bios that should be on it by default. myself ig the mb is new and a less then a year old it should have the last bios on it.
