Best Gskill or Corsair RAM for Prime z370-A?

I want default (2400 or 2666) speed RAM with CL14 latency, tight timings, single sided in G skill or Corsair, but I don’t see any on the qvl. If I buy G skill trident with cl14 and 3200 and don’t overlock it, what is the default speed and latency? Will it be 1.2v as well?

If this is a waste of money, what do you suggest from g skill trident or Corsair for prime z370-A? No RGB.

Thanks!

Well 3200mhz RAM would be a waste of money if you don't run it at 3200mhz, default without touching the memory speed will be 2133mhz and whatever timings your mobo sets as default, probably CL15-15-15-36 T2 or close to it. It would likely run stable at 2666mhz CL14 1.2v, not sure why you would opt for that however.

I don't see any 2666mhz CL14 kits on the memory compatibility list for that board. However any recent DDR4 2666MHZ CL14 kit should work with that board, they just haven't been guaranteed through testing by ASUS.

Thank you. I just want absolute stability with my RAM and without excess heat. I’m getting an i7 8700. Can I only get absolute stability and without too much heat if I don’t over clock the RAM? Is this possible with 2666 and cl14? Is it possible with the gskill trident 3200 c14?

I have run 3200mhz CL15 RAM absolutely stable for over a year now on a 7700k Asuz z270f system. G skill trident z rated for CL14 3200mhz is likely using samsung B Die IC's, which are pretty much the best RAM IC chips out right now. Yes 3200mhz CL14 can very easily be run totally stable on an intel Z370 system.

What do you plan to use this PC for? If it's for gaming I dont know why your putting so much emphasis on absolute stability. I would only care about that if it's a PC that can absolutely not go down for any reason, in that case I would just get a cheap 2133mhz run everything at stock and invest in a quality PSU and UPS.

My pc is for productivity/multitasking. No games. I’m also using integrated graphics. The last pc I built has blue screens, which are annoying. I don’t know enough to fix blue screens of varying error codes. They are very random. Perhaps it is unstable overclocked ram, but the error codes vary and Windows was always updated. My pc is too old (i7 920, asus p6t deluxe v2) and I am too inexperienced to bother with it myself at this point. This old pc will be given to my roommate, who has more experience.

That’s why I want to eliminate unstable ram as a possible blue screen problem in my new build.
