Speakers/soundbar for triple monitor setup

I just recently finished up my triple monitor setup, I found a universal stand for it. At the moment I have logitech Z3 speakers which have done well for me, solid sound with a sub at a good price point. The problem now is that they are sitting behind my screens and the audio is muffled. I have found little to no feedback on what to do with your speakers when using a triple monitor setup, are there speakers specifically designed for this or should I look toward soundbars? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

You can use speaker stands to raise them over the monitors http://www.fullcompass.com/prod/235960-Ultimate-Support-JS-MS70 or find some wall mounts or something similar and see how you can get it connected to the monitor stand. Or raise the monitors a bit and raise up your chair. You can put the speakers on their side, although that would change the sound a bit, should not be too bad of a change though.

Just place them left/right at the edge of the monis.
maybe use l-shaped metal bracket (for shelves etc, from lowes or ikea)
to mount them/piece of MDF at the side of the desk?!

you wanna have a few feet between the speakers anyway.
how far are the speakers away when your in a theater ;-)
