Good day Tom's Hardware!
Here is my current specifications:
Motherboard: MSi B250M Mortar Arctic
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100 @ 3.90 GHz
PCI-E 1: GPU: EVGA GTX 680
PCI-E 2: Empty
PCI-E 3: WLAN Card: TP-Link (TL-WN781ND)
Accordingly, the processor can handle Max. # of 16 PCI Express Lanes, and the GPU is running on X16 Mode. When I open the BIOS Board Explorer, the WLAN Card is not detected, but it is working in Windows when booted. Do I have the right idea that the reason why the BIOS not detecting the WLAN Card is that the Processor only capable of X16 Mode and that the GPU already occupying the 16 Lanes available? The WLAN Card is running on X1. I already updated the BIOS, but no luck.
