I have MSI Gaming Z97 GAMING 5 motherboard. My pc case only has two usb on the top, and I would like more. I have been searching for a usb hub for my 5.25in drive bay. I have found a few and I wanted to make sure my computer will have the ports for it to work. One of the usb's that the case came with is a 3.0 and the other 2.0. On the specifications for the motherboard, it says that there are "2 ports available through the internal USB 3.0 connectors". I know where the first one is because I followed the wire from my current 3.0, but I cant find the second one. Can any one point it out on the motherboard? Thank you for any help.

So, yeah, the device would need its own USB 3.0 header on the motherboard.

If you use the only one on the motherboard then you'd lose the case's USB 3.0 port.
Motherboard Internal I/O Connectors:
2 x USB 2.0 connectors (supports additional 4 USB 2.0 ports)
1 x USB 3.0 connector (supports additional 2 USB 3.0 ports)

You wrote, "Can any one point it out on the motherboard?".

That information is found in the downloadable motherboard manual.
