New PC build with a budget of 800$ - Gaming and VR

Hey guys!

I'd like to build the best PC as possible under 800$.
I will use it for gaming and with my oculus (VR).

I just came across this:

Do you think it's any good or do you think I would get better value building it myself with different parts?

If you could link/provide another build that offer a better performance/cost ideally under 800$ that would be great! (could go as high as 1000$ if the sweet spot is higher than 800$)

Sadly you probably wont be able to build a gaming PC for yourself right now due to GPU prices thanks to miners. Ive heard very mixed things on Cyber power PCs so you may want to do some research.

What do people needing a new gaming PC do nowadays?
Do they buy an already built computer or are they all waiting for the price to drop?

Are the already built computers a lot more expensive too?

Depends. You are going to be paying extra for a pre built but if it includes a good warranty you are paying for that. Ive looked at various companies and some arent so bad while others are ripping people off. Xidax seems to be a pretty good deal and has a good warranty and worth looking at.

Yeah... that's why I would have prefered to build the PC myself as I am not interested in paying for a warranty or even to have the PC build for me.

I also already have my copy of Windows 10.

But I mean if it's still actually cheaper to buy already built computers, I'll have to go with that route.

You wont find anything better then a 1050ti GPU for a reasonable price, GPU prices are absolutely insane so unless you order form teh manufactuer and go into the waiting line building one right now is pretty much out of the question.

VR within that budget is highly improbable right now, prebuilt or not.

Definitely not. That is nearly the same specs as mine, just that I have a 4460 and 16 gigs versus its 4790 and 8 gigs. It is a weak system by today's standards because it was released in 2013ish.
