Ram usage percentage creeping up

I have a Windows 7 SP1 PC with 8 GB RAM, a 500 GB SSD for the primary/disk0(C:) and a 1TB HDD for the secondary/disk1(E:). For the past few weeks I've noticed my RAM usage percentage go from 30-31% to 47-50%. The only changes have been updates to browsers, OS, and other software. Diagnostic tools (system explorer and others) don't show anything using more RAM than usual. Could this be RAM getting close to end of life (the 2 sticks are 2.5 yrs old)? Or can I get numbers to drop by going to more RAM?

If you typically put your PC in to sleep mode (instead of shutting down & rebooting), that can cause RAM usage to creep up, especially if you run any apps which suffer from memory-leakage (not releasing memory when that app has been closed).

You need to reboot occasionally as that's the only thing that purges and reclaims all your RAM so it's all available again.

No sleep mode here. Just lock the screen and turn the monitor off.
The malware checks come back negative. Even after running Rkill and running everything in safe mode w/ networking.
Even after rebooting (which I do at least twice a week) the RAM goes up to its new "normal".

I'll get back after checking for leaks.

Ram a memtest with both sticks in, one stick then the other in. All three report no issues. Changing the ram in slot 1 in slot 2 and vice versa resulted in to change. New thoughts/ideas?
