Cant set vcore higher than 1.2 on gigabyte motherboard

I have a B85M-DS3H-A gigabyte motherboard and an i5 4670K. I'm unable to set the vcore of the CPU higher than 1.2. Upon entering a value such as 1.25 and pressing enter the setting changes to auto. What could be the reason for this limitation?

The B85 chipset is not an enthusiast chipset and does not have all of the features and control that the Z chipsets have.

I've heard of people going over this voltage with the same CPU. For example, in this post, some guy sets it to 1.247: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/help-overclock-i5-4670k-to-4-3ghz.200365/

Yep he is using a better motherboard that has that feature. It's all about the motherboard.
