So I have had this system for a while now. Today I decided to finally install an SSD. I currently have 2 1tb WD hdds.( One blue and one black if it matters). Everything was working fine but started getting pretty slow. So I figured if I was going g to reinstall Windows might as well throw in an SSD. I used a USB drive to install Windows on the SSD, with but hdds complete disconnected to prevent any issues. Once I got windows set up I shut down, reconnected the hdds and started it back up, expecting to see all my old data there. It loaded to the default windows login screen and once loged in Nothing. None of my old data is there, however I can go to file explorer and it's all there and the hdds are recognized. I dont know where to start. I'm don't have much knolege when it comes to computers. But I know enough to know that I didn't do anything wrong. I've built my own systems and never had this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, you just have to go through the containing folder. The folder is what has the permissions.
The children in that folder (the files) inherit that.

C\Users\Matt\Documents\...
The Documents folder is what holds the permissions.

You won't automatically see all of your old data, because you have a whole new blank OS.
Your old stuff lives on the old drives. And you can't use the applications from that old OS.

You can probably access the "files" on the old drive. You may have to 'take permission' of those old files, because they exist under the old user.

Would I have to go through each file indevidualy to take permission? And how do I go about doing that? I have tried Googleing it and can't seem to find a solution that works
