Recently Overclocked my 7600k to 5.2ghz @ 1.3v
Temps underload are topping out about 70c
if i try and go higher than that it becomes unstable and the mother board wont let me raise vcore to 1.4 even though it says it set in hwmonitor it is only coming up as 1.35

CPU - i5 7600K
motherboard - Gigabyte z170 designare with latest bios
16gb corsair 3000mhz ram
H75 AIO cpu cooler 120mm rad
GTX 1070

my question is my motherboard got to voltage limitation built in or am i doing something wrong or should i be happy with 5.2ghz and 1.3v and be done

and help or advice will be appreciated

Did you mean that your temps at idle (under load) is 70 degrees? if correct this temp is too high, but if this is the max temp I think you have a golden chip.

Is it stable? 1.3v but running 5.2 you are so lucky.

What stress test applications did this overclocking numbers passed?

Signature818 my temps at 100% load are 70c idle temps are mid 30s and I used cinebench and hwmonitor to confirm stability. And just running games. I used to use prime95 on my old rig but have read not to use it these new chips something about Avx instructions or something.
I tried increasing the base clock a bit but that was instant instability even with just a 1 to 2 mhz increase.
