Hey guys I have an amd fx 6300 and have a corsair h80i to cool the system. At idle my cpu sits almost 70c and I've replaced the thermal paste twice because I thought I may have done it wrong the first time because I just started getting these temps after I applied the thermal paste. I used 99% isopropyl alcohol with paper towel to wipe. I also used the tg-7 thermal paste, before I bought it I seen the reviews and they were pretty good. No where around where I live has arctic silver 5 that's why I didn't use it. But I didn't think a different kind of thermal paste would do this.

Temps range from 60c-70c with just the slightest amount of load. I use corsair link to measure my temps. The mother board is gigabyte am3+ amd 970 data 6gbps is 3.0 atx am3+ socket ddr3 1600 motherboards (GA-970A DS3P)

Just to confirm, while the system is running, feel the tubing of your AIO. If there's no vibration at all the pump has failed.

Download HWMonitor or AIDA64, Corsair Link can have some problems monitoring temps. Idle temps AND load temps at 70C means either the software is reporting incorrectly OR the sensors on your board have gone bad. One of them is a bigger problem than the other.

What are the temperatures (or thermal margins) while running Prime95 Small FFTs? Still the same as you see at idle? The frequency doesn't drop to 1.4 GHz?
