You've provided a good bit of info and I appreciate that! Do you mind recommending 8GB DDR4 ram for a good price? I know that's asking a lot, considering the insane prices for ram nowadays. I found the Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Single DDR4 2666 MT/s but I'm not sure if that's a good pick

Read this before selecting memory modules.

Also check the boards QVL list for compatible memory.

Now that I've summed this all up I've settled for the Ryzen 1400, the MB you suggested, the CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB 3000MHz and of course my GTX 1050 ti. Will my current 450 watt Modular PSU support all of these components?

I'm rocking the EVGA 450 B3, 80+ BRONZE 450W 120mm hopefully this will fit the new case.

Thanks a lot for the quick responses, it's helped me so much!

Now when I swap MBs will I need a new OEM Windows license? My current motherboard is a very old ASRock MB, so I'm assuming I'll need a new license.

Well that's a first. I've browsed through discussions saying "you'll have to do a complete reinstall of windows", or "You'll need to enter your product key since you've swapped hardware." Apparently I have a digital license for my windows key but some say that wont matter when I swap motherboards.
