Gtx Cards Price Drop Any Time?

I was trying to buy a Gtx 1060 6gb so I saved up to buy one. When I looked at it like literally a month ago it was at 300 bucks and I look at the same website (Newegg) now and it's like 600. Is this like their legit price now or is it temporary because of crypto? Like I'm kinda pissed now because I've been waiting for quite a while.

When do you think prices will drop?

The prices for the GTX 10xx series cards MIGHT drop once the GTX 11xx/20xx series cards hit the shelves. Additionally, once those cards hit the shelves, there may be a massive influx of (over)used GTX 10xx series cards that should be fairly inexpensive. Aside from that, until the crypto-currency mining phase dies out, don't expect a reasonable price for a new, higher-end graphics card.
