Laptop memory upgrade

Hi is another of these memory upgrades questions I'm sorry about that

. I'm planing on buying a compatible RAM with the one that came with the laptop but the specifications are kinda iffy so I hoped if anyone could help me figure out what should I buy, although I feel you guys are going to tell me to buy 2 new identical RAM to save myself the hassle but I don't have the money for that

Yes, buying two modules in a matched set is the only way you will have ANY sort of guarantee that they will work together.

Short of that, then an identical module is the next best option, but again, there are never any guarantees if they haven't been tested together from the factory.

Is there some reason you don't want to go with the products that I listed? Those are identical part numbers to the module you posted the image of above, so if that is your current module, either of those should be a good match and they are not very expensive, which is surprising since just about all memory is about 200% higher than normal right now.

No, the products you listed are perfectly fine but you've said it yourself that even then there are no guarantees they will work together so I thought I rather not risked it, wait some time and save some money to buy a single module of 8gb that by itself shouldn't have compability issues, but you are totally right about memory prices being inflated as of late. I don't know I always make a conundrum about these kind of things, thank you for your time though. :bounce:
